Keep all posts on topic. Don't interact with other group members. Also make sure you would behave just like how you would at school.

The rules for a first time user of an active board, like myself are pretty simple but very important. One of the most important rules is to make sure that you are being school appropriate at all times. Teachers and students monitor this website daily and we want to make sure that we are showing our very best YAK behavior. Also, you want to make sure that you are staying on topic AT ALL TIMES. Following these very important rules will help you tremendously with being a frequent active boadr user.xd.gifbiggrin KhadijahB , Period 4 , Team: Squaaaddd!

It talks about how we cant post about anything inapropriate. We are not allowed to use "bad words". And we are not supposed to talk about anything off topic.

From this passage I learned the rule of posting ang replying to a topic. First off act like you wouuld in school and to be serious.  Second off don't use text lanuage; use reglaur enliglish. When you are giving suggestions use "qutoes" so it will be easier to understand. DO NOT start a new forlum; that is for the teacher to do. On every Friday you will be checking our pst for a grade; so that mean we have to be active on this website. Use textual evidence is a good thing to do because it strengthens the arugement. Last off always strive for an A+ reply, try your best for the most.

There are some very important rules we need to follow to be successful on this site. We need to stay on topic about the book. And we need to be active on here so we are able to get help from our group members if we are confused.

In order to make an A+ discussion, you must follow all of these rules. Before you start to create a reply or new topic, you need to think about what you're saying. Know what your point is and how to find what you are talking about in the book, "Something Wicked This Way Comes". When you are posting you need to have your reference materials, such as your book, notes, and your annotations. When you are responding to one of your group members, be sure to include correct capitalization, punctuation, and spelling. Use your book for citations so your peers aren't confused.

Be sure to always prepare yourself, this means reading along with the class, completing all assignments and maybe if needed doing additional research. Always reach for connections to real life, theories and beliefs. Be sure to cite your sources (Page number and author's last name) and always use spell check for effective results in your posting. Explain yourself thoroughly, for instance if you agree with someone give a real reason to back you up perhaps textual evidence. Do not simply end your posting with "I agree" or "I disagree" always explain yourself to prevent a dry and unresponsive posting.

The first thing you need to write an A+ discussion posting is to understand what you are being asked to comment on and what you are supposed to write about. Next, make sure when you are making your comment that you now what you are citing your sources. Also, follow the rules of discussion postings for example, to select the best posting to respond to, think about if someone asked you that question in class would you answer it? Make sure that your post has meaning to it do not always just replay "I agree" and "I disagree". Lastly, post your comments on time it would also be unfair to someone who has an important question that you know the answer to but you are never able to answer them on time.

We must always be appropriate. Because we are on an MISD website, we must use language that is appropriate and that will make everyone feel comfortable. We must also make sure to keep the discussion going and make sure that we are answering questions with a serious frame of mind. We need to help others as much as we can by answering questions and clarifying everything.

Writing an A+ post requires you to use references. When you use references you have to cite your sources. If you write a good post it should connect to theories and real life.

when replying to a group chat you must interact with them and the questions they give you.  Also, you yourself need to add comments and ask questions to your group as well. Give you honest opinion and ask any questions that my concern you, ask your teacher they will be willing to help. Group responses are a team effort to receive an A+ answer. Savanna S. When posting/replying to anything on this site, you must be sure to be respectful and appropriate at all times. SCHOOL RULES APPLY! Also make sure to be active, use textual evidence, use proper English, and always ask for help when you need it. You might not know how to do something then fail because you didn't ask.

The rules of the school still apply to your use online. You must only post appropriate comments and ask questions on the topic. To write an A+ response you must stay on topic, write in standard English, and use good grammar. Also, you must check all posts before posting them on the site. last, you must try to post on time and try to stay up to date on the posts.

Make sure that you use school appropriate stuff on here that you wouldn't be embarrassed about. Also after one of your group members starts on a topic you need to respond on it. Make sure it has textual evidence because it will make your argument stronger. And last make sure that you are reading what you are supposed to or that will only hurt you.

The rules basically state that you can not post anything rude/hurtful or you will be banned from all MISD computers. And you can comment and reply on you classmates questions. Text evidence is really helpfull to your classmates so they can check what you are saying.

To get an A+, you must participate and be on time, you have to know what you're doing and be prepared, thoroughly answer a group member's question, cite your sources and have textual evidence, and be professional. You are representing yourself each time you take action. Also, follow the rules and do the very best of what is asked of you.

You represent yourself and only yourself, so you must use proper grammar, capitalization, and punctuation. This website is a extension of school so you must follow the same rules. When you reply to a post you need to show your evidence. Lastly you should behave like you are at school.

The article explains that in a discussion post, you need to keep all posts on topic, never use text language or acronyms, type very well written and though out posts, agreements, or ideas about the topics, cite all of your textual evidence if a question is asked or answered, and behave online like as if you were at school.

Back up your statement with useful information. During a discussion you don't want to go off topic, stay with your group. Be useful in your group, do not blurt out random things to pull them off topic.
